ROAD NETWORK:
Caltabellotta is located in the vicinity of the State Road
No. 386, connecting Chiusa Sclafani to Montallegro, State
Road No. 115, connecting Trapani to Siracusa, and State Road
No. 188 from Marsala to Lercara Friddi (Pa).
MOTORWAYS:
The province of Agrigento has no motorway at the moment, but
a few motorways pass around its territory: the province of
Trapani, to the west, has motorway no. “A29” which connects
Palermo to Mazara del Vallo. It is a 2-lane road plus
emergency lane in both directions and it is a toll-free
motorway. However, the road has no service stations, but
drivers can stop at any village along the way to get petrol.
In the north-eastern part of the province, the nearest
motorway is the “A19” connecting Palermo with Catania. It is
a toll-free motorway with two lanes plus the emergency lane.
RAILWAY LINES:
The nearest train station is Castelvetrano. Distance from
the center of Caltabellotta: 68 km.
AIRPORTS:
The airports that can be used to get to Caltabellotta are
the main civil airport of Trapani, “Aerostazione Sen.
Vincenzo Florio", Trapani - Birgi, at 113 km from
Caltabellotta, offering daily flights to and from Rome,
Milan and the islands of Lampedusa and Linosa (Pelagian
Islands); and the main civil airport of the province of
Palermo, “Aerostazione Falcone - Borsellino" Palermo - Punta
Raisi, located at 140 km from Caltabellotta, offering daily
flights to and from the main Italian and international towns.
MARITIME LINES:
The nearest ports available are Porto Empedocle (96 km) and
Palermo (104 km).
